Sandy Mau, V.P., Communications
Sandy Mau has served as vice president of communications for Health2 Resources since 2001. In that capacity she works with clients to help them reach their organizational goals via communication in its many forms: presentations and reports, issue briefs, articles in a wide range of publications, press releases, interview preparation, and more.
Prior to working for Health2 Resources, she was a free-lance writer, primarily from the perspective of the health care provider, purchaser/employer, and vendor of specialized health-related services. She is the by-lined author of numerous articles for newspapers, magazines and business journals.
She previously served as director of marketing and communications for a standalone hospital, and then oversaw external communications as it grew into a network of five hospitals, home health agencies, durable medical equipment companies, a nursing home and health club facility. Ms. Mau's responsibilities included marketing, public relations, community relations and publications oversight during this period of substantial growth.
Ms. Mau began her writing career as a beat reporter for a daily newspaper in Selma, Alabama, where she was the winner of an Associated Press Award for Reporting Without a Deadline and an Alabama Press Association Award for Best Spot News Reporting. She holds a bachelor's degree in communications from the University of California, San Diego.
