Eve Dryer

Eve Dryer has been described as a visionary, a trailblazer, an advocate and a strategist. She brings more than 20 years’ experience in health care communications to her current role as senior director of patient advocacy and stakeholder engagement at Lexicon Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and as principal agent of Eve Dryer Healthcare Consulting. 


Ms. Dryer’s work spans a range of disciplines, including mental health, oncology, respiratory and women’s health, as well as health initiatives that specifically address the underserved needs of seniors and multicultural populations. She was an integral part of Vox Medica Health Care Public Relations’ award-winning campaign with the National Coalition on Aging called My Medicare Matters, a national community activation program that enrolled seniors in Medicare Part D. She has also received three Silver Anvil Awards from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), two Philadelphia PRSA Pepperpot Awards and recognition as a 2008 Mover and Shaker in the annual PharmaVOICE 100.

As a member of the senior management team at Manning, Selvage & Lee (MS&L), she was the managed care counselor for all health care clients and directed the formation of MS&L's constituency relations practice. She also served as the national account director for major clients, including (then) Pharmacia and Roche, as well as serving as senior counsel to the Kaiser Permanente and General Motors Health Care Initiatives teams. Prior to MS&L, she was vice president and head of communications at Aetna-U.S. Healthcare. From 1988 to 1995, she was the lead communications consultant for Intracorp, a subsidiary of CIGNA and a pioneer in disease management and disability management services.

Ms. Dryer earned a bachelor’s in journalism from American University in Washington, DC. She is a member of the Global Board of Directors of the Healthcare Businesswomen's Association. She was a founding director of the Philadelphia HBA Chapter, serving on the board of the Metro Chapter and as co-chair of the 2006 and 2007 Leadership Conferences. She served on the steering committee for the Biotechnology Industry Organization’s Diversity Summit, has been a board member of the Cancer Support Community of Philadelphia and chaired its Strategic Marketing Committee.
